Joseph Dene is a 25 year old singer/songwriter, who has risen up from the streets of Liverpool, bringing with him the most distinctive voice and soulful sound in decades.

Dene is a one-off: a credible, organic artist whose wildly varied musical apprenticeship includes busking, performing solo, forming bands and even reaching the judges’ houses stage of X Factor at the age of 18.

Joseph first expressed his creative instincts through poetry and only turned to songwriting when he was given a guitar for his 16th birthday. His remarkable voice has earned comparisons vocaly to a young Rod Stewart/Joe Cocker. Already hotly tipped by industry insiders as a rising star, Dene is ready to raise the standard for male Brit artists, who in recent years have sometimes been overshadowed by the huge success and popularity of female artists.

His songs radiate the maturity, sincerity and sheer heart of a young man from humble beginnings who has endured many of life’s hardest knocks, and emerged the stronger for it.

Joseph Dene’s debut album, ‘The Way I See’ is due for release in early 2012 supported by a full press and media campaign and key live tour dates.

The album comprises 8 originals and 2 songs co-written with Mercury-nominated producer Andy Ross, who spent 5 weeks producing Joseph’s stunning debut at Astar Studios in Lancashire.

‘The Way I See’ is a fine, compelling album by an outstanding new British male artist with huge international potential. Advance copies are available on request for the media and the music industry – let us know if you would like a copy.

From the chart-friendly reggae-infused pop of “Way I See”, the potent soulfunk of “Secret Lady” and the classic balladeering of “Made For Me”, here is a breakthrough artist to be reckoned with.

Joseph Dene is undoubtedly one to watch

‘In the modern world where music influences the youth and identically, the youth influences the music, it can be difficult to find deep, meaningful songs from young yet mature musicians. Liverpool is the best place for music in the entire world, based on my opinion may be, but it’s true. This young lad is one in which i first witnessed in a small pub about a year ago. My initial impression was that he had been going quite a few years. His voice had the husk and roughness that only artists like Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams demonstrate yet the soothing and almost-fragile vocals of individuals like Joe Cocker. His guitar work, mainly capo-ed, dittos the vocals with a chilled out country feel to certain songs. Just 12 months on and Joseph has achieved so much. With an amazing backing band and brand new songs. Check out his pages and website and listen for yourself, he deserves it. Songs such as ‘The Way I See and ‘Made For Me’ dont come around often, so get on this fella before half of Britain does.’
